Während das DOAJ derzeit 2832 Open Access-Zeitschriften nachweist, sind im Directory of Open Access and Hybrid Journals derzeit 4334 Zeitschriften erfasst. Unter den 1502 Hybrid-Zeitschriften befinden sich Titel wie:
- Aging Cell (Blackwell)
- Archives of Osteporosis (Springer)
- Artificial cells, blood substitutes, and immobilization biotechnology (Taylor & Francis)
- Biostatistics (Oxford)
- Evidence-based medicine (BMJ Publishing Group)
- Medizinische Klinik (Urban & Vogel)
- Pediatric Pulmonology (Wiley)
Von den von als Hybrid Journals angebotenen Zeitschriften der großen Verlage fehlen demnach vor allem die Elsevier-Titel (Sponsored Articles).
