Bibliothek kein „Access-Point“ mehr

Logan Ludwig, Susan Starr: Library as place: results of a delphi study (J Med Libr Assoc. 2005 July; 93(3): 315–326) nochmal gelesen. Schöne Zukunftsstudie, erinnert an unsere Münsteraner. Daraus nun das Zitat des Tages:

By 2010, most users will primarily come to a health sciences library not for access to information, but for timesaving or value-added information services and places to collaborate and study.

Fettdruck durch mich. Liegt auf der Hand, aber so schwarz auf weiß ist es doch shocking true.
Nachtrag: T.Scott Plutchak und Krafty bestätigen die Veränderung in Richtung „Bedürfnisse statt Bestände“: It’s Time to Leave the Reference Desk.
