Das spanische Krankenhaus Hospital Son Llatzer hat sämtliche internen Vorgänge von Papier auf ein elektronisches Hospital Information System umgestellt. Aus IT & Communications 2004/2005 (1,5 MB) :
The hospital was created [in 2001] with a highly advanced technological platform and with a clear idea of using new technologies to the benefit of patients and professionals. All data and images (digital radiology, endoscopic images, digital ECGs) are stored in a unique electronic patient record (EPR), and all professionals and patients are involved in the computerised systems.
Patientenbenachrichtigung via SMS, Datenzugang via Tablet-PC und PDA am Krankenbett, umfangreiches Angebot von Inhalten (Ebsco, Ovid, Web of Knowledge), hohe Patienten- und Ärztezufriedenheit. Und – ja – es gibt auch eine „Biblioteca Electronica Fundacio Hospital Son Llatzer„. Mein Spanisch (Katalonisch?) ist leider gleich Null, aber ich werde schon herauskriegen, was die da so machen …
Nachtrag: Es ist wirklich eine „traditionelle“ Bibliothek mit Öffnungszeiten 8:30-14:30 (rund um die Uhr mit ‚Hospital Card‘), 1.000 e-Journals (davon viele Open Access), 4 e-Books, nicht viele gedruckte Bücher, bibliographische Recherchen. Und es ist wirklich Katalonisch!
