Zusammenfassung
Der Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) bietet dem Mediziner in Klinik und Praxis neben seinen Grundfunktionen weitere interessante Einsatzmöglichkeiten, die aber oftmals unbekannt sind. In diesem Artikel werden Software-Produkte für den PDA vorgestellt, die im Stationsalltag oder in der Arztpraxis hilfreich sind, um bei der Patientenversorgung die richtige Information rasch zur Hand zu haben.

Walter OFFENBERGER: Physician’s use of PDAs in clinic and general practice

Abstract
Beside its basic functionality the Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) offers interesting features to the medical doctor working in a clinic or general practice. However, these possibilities are often unknown even to the medical professional. This paper introduces medical software for the PDA which is helpful in the daily routine in order to have valuable information at hand at the point-of-care.
